    PSTET Eligibility Criteria – Age Limit

    PSTET  Educational Qualification

    One of the most significant PSTET Eligibility criteria is the educational qualification that one must possess to apply for PSTET. The educational qualification depends upon the level of post one is applying for. There are two stages of post: teacher for primary stage (classes I-V) and teacher for elementary stage (classes VI-VIII). The educational qualification for both the levels is given below:

    Primary Teacher (Class I-V) (A) 12th std with a minimum of 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 2 year Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known).

    (B) 12th std with a minimum of 45% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002.

    (C) 12th std with a minimum of 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor of elementary education (B.El.Ed).

    (D) 12th std with a minimum of 50% marks and passed or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*

    (E) Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in elementary education (by whatever name known).

    Elementary Teacher (Class VI-VIII) (A) Graduation and passing or appearing in the final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

    (B) Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard.

    (C) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4-year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).

    (D) Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in the final year of 4-year B.A/ B.Sc.Ed or B.A. Ed/ B.Sc.Ed.

    (E) Graduation with at least 50% marks and passing or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)

    Punjab TET Eligibility Criteria – Nationality

    As per the Punjab TET Eligibility norms, a candidate must be a citizen of India belonging to the Punjab state to apply for PSTET.

    Punjab TET Eligibility Criteria – Number of Attempts
